Anthropogenesis, towards a new Renaissance, marks the second chapter of an artistic journey that Alessandro Risuleo began with Cognitive Awareness – the beginning in 2021. This new cycle investigates the relationship between the human being and the téchne, placing at its core not technology itself but the way humanity chooses to use it. Anthropogenesis emerges from the awareness that technology, devoid of its own will, becomes an ethical instrument only through human responsibility, and that the true risk does not lie in machines thinking like people, but in people beginning to think like machines.
The project calls for a renewed humanism, a return to sensitivity as a form of knowledge and revelation. The bodies captured in the images are awakened bodies, asserting their presence through movement, resisting cold rationalism and restoring emotion to its central role.
The exhibition unfolds through a complex technological ecosystem that includes augmented reality, virtual reality, NFT artworks and an immersive fragrance of essential oils, creating a multisensory dialogue that echoes the medialism theorized by Gabriele Perretta, in which téchne becomes a bridge between the past and new expressive forms.
Anthropogenesis is therefore an ode to the sacredness of the human being, an invitation to rediscover a balance between science, art and spirit, ensuring that in the digital age humanity remains the true protagonist of its own story.
